    Aug. 4, 2022 | More than 17,000 Costco Teamsters,  currently working under an expired contract, plan job actions across the country following another day of contentious negotiations for a new national contract. The Teamsters are bargaining with the company for the first time since members overwhelmingly rejected Costco's "last, best and final" contract offer in June.
    UPS Contract Kickoff!

    Teamsters Local 776, along with hundreds of other Teamster Locals across the country, began a nationwide call to action on August 1, 2022 with parking lot rallies, leafleting actions and other activities taking place at UPS centers throughout the country. With the current contract expiring in exactly one year, members are mobilizing now for the strongest possible contract in 2023.

    Teamsters Local 231 members and their families turned out for a great day of food, games, and comradery on July 30th. Over 400 people attended the picnic at Camp Lutherwood on Lake Samish. The warm weather made swimming, canoeing, and kayaking favorite activities for all ages, and the bounce-house with slide was a huge hit with the little ones the entire day.

    15,000 Western Pa. Teamsters’ Pension Benefits Restored

    July 28, 2022 | PENSIONS | Pension benefits were restored for some 15,000 people covered by the Western Pennsylvania Teamsters and Employers Pension Plan after a federal government bailout of the plan that was announced Monday. On average, Teamster pension benefits were cut 20% in 2019 to stave off plan insolvency, which was forecast for 2025.
